Deel Castle, near Crossmolina, a 16th century building with an 18th century annexe built on. It was a Burke stronghold until their defeat in the Williamite war after which it was renamed Castlegore.

Deel Castle with annexe.

A "new" Castlegore was built closeby around 1790, by Baronet James Cuffe, M.P. It was extensively damaged in the 1798 rebellion and was later refurbished. In 1920, it was destroyed by fire during the Civil War.
